02 MEASURE · SITE SURVEY

FROM TERRAIN TO MEASURABLE DATA.

A site survey becomes a 3D terrain model, and from it a contour drawing and computed quantities: area, earthwork volume, linear metres — as data that 3D design software can load, not as a picture.

01–03 THE SERVICE

ONE TERRAIN, IN NUMBERS.

01WHAT IS IT?

A fast survey for design purposes: we survey the terrain on site, build a 3D surface model and compute the quantities from it.

The result is geometry and numbers, not a photo: contour drawing, terrain model, m² / m³ / lm — in a form design software can load.

Important: the survey is not an official land survey. Setting out plot boundaries or official procedures require a licensed surveyor.

02WHAT IS IT FOR?

  • Earthwork calculation — m³, cut and fill
  • Area calculation — m², on the real surface
  • Linear metres — lm, for linear works
  • Contour drawings
  • 3D terrain model for design software
  • Fast survey, short turnaround

03WHO IS IT FOR?

  • Landscapers, earthworks contractors
  • Civil, road and utility contractors
  • Architects and landscape architects
  • Developers, property developers

Anyone who needs numbers from the terrain, not impressions — for design or for quoting.

04 WHAT DO WE NEED TO START?

WHAT HELPS US START.

None of these documents is a precondition. Whatever is available sharpens the scope and the quote — if none exist, we can still start, only the estimate will be wider.

SITE REQUIRED
Address or land-registry name. It shows us where to go and how large an area to cover.
TASK REQUIRED
What needs measuring and what it will be used for. This is the most important information.
REQUIRED RESULTS SELECTABLE
m² / m³ / lm / contour drawing / 3D model — one click each on the form, several can be selected.
SITE PLAN / GARDEN PLAN / ROAD DESIGN IF AVAILABLE
Whichever exists. For site grading the garden plan gives the levels, for linear works the road design gives the lengths.
CONTACT PERSON REQUIRED
Name, email and, if it is faster, a phone number.

05 HOW WE WORK

ONE TERRAIN, FOUR READINGS.

The same surveyed surface — shown differently depending on which data you need. Switch between the views.

  1. 01 / SURFACE

    THE SURFACE

The 3D model of the terrain. This is the starting point: every further value is computed from this surface, not from separate measurements.

    AREA
    PERIMETER
  2. 02 / CONTOURS

    CONTOUR DRAWING

A topographic line system derived from the surface, at a chosen interval. This is what the designer can work with.

  3. 03 / VOLUME

    EARTHWORK

The earthwork between two levels. Move the cut level — the cut and fill cubic metres are recomputed from the real surface.

  4. 04 / EXPORT

    DELIVERABLE DATA

The survey result goes on as data 3D design software can integrate — not as a picture but as geometry and numbers.

06–07 WHAT YOU RECEIVE · EXAMPLE

TERRAIN → 3D → CONTOURS → m² / m³.

The example is GoDataFusion's demonstration parcel: the contour drawing below and every figure are computed from the same surface you rotated in the 3D view above. An anonymised sample of a real project will go here.

01–02 · 3D SURFACE → CONTOUR DRAWINGCOMPUTED

Contour lines from the surveyed surface at a chosen interval; the marked area is the cut above the cut level. Demonstration parcel.

How we handle your materialTRUST AND DATA HANDLING

  • Confidential project dataThe site and the submitted plans are confidential project data — used only to prepare the quote and to carry out the commissioned work.
  • Human verificationThe processing of the survey and the computed values are checked by a specialist.
  • The original stays unchangedWe do not modify the client's site plan, garden plan or road design — the result is produced in a new file.
  • Traceable resultsEvery figure comes from the surveyed surface, and we deliver it together with the surface model.

HOW LARGER PROJECTS RUN

Eight steps, always in the same order. In the first round we only need the site and the task.

  1. Source materialSite, task, and if available: site plan, garden plan, road design.
  2. ReviewArea, accessibility, required results.
  3. QuoteA tailored quote for the actual work.
  4. Accepting the quoteIn writing — this is when we agree the date of the site visit.
  5. Dedicated Drive project folderA closed folder for the project's participants.
  6. Uploading the full documentationInto the folder, not the public form.
  7. Survey and processingSite survey, surface model, calculation, checking.
  8. Delivery of the resultsExcel, contour drawing, 3D terrain model.

THE SAME PROJECT. A DIFFERENT QUESTION.

The three services build on each other, but each can be ordered on its own.
