03 QUANTIFY · QUANTITY TAKE-OFF

FROM PDF DRAWING TO EXCEL TABLE.

We identify the elements of the 2D drawing digitally and turn them into structured quantity schedules: door and window schedules, room schedules, build-ups, floor finish schedules. Counts and square metres — not estimates.

01–03 THE SERVICE

FROM THE DRAWING, COUNTABLE DATA.

01WHAT IS IT?

Drawing-based quantity take-off: we identify the elements of the PDF drawing — walls, openings, rooms, layers, finishes — and arrange them into tables.

Processing is based on digital data extraction, and every step is checked by a specialist. The result is Excel: each row with an identifier, a count and square metres.

02WHAT IS IT FOR?

  • Door & window schedule — doors, windows, fittings, itemised elements
  • Room schedule — rooms, areas, finishes
  • Build-up schedule — layer code, thickness, material description
  • Floor finishes — by finish type, broken down by room
  • The basis for pricing, procurement and quoting

03WHO IS IT FOR?

  • Contractors, general contractors
  • Cost estimators, procurement
  • Design offices
  • Developers, project managers

Anyone who has to produce quantities from drawings — quickly and verifiably.

04 WHAT DO WE NEED TO START?

WE START WITH ONE DRAWING.

For a larger project we first ask for one representative sample drawing. Once the task is reviewed and the quote accepted, we provide a dedicated Drive project folder for uploading the full documentation.

SAMPLE PDF DRAWING REQUIRED
One legible, representative drawing sheet. For a larger project a single sample drawing is enough.
WHICH SCHEDULE YOU NEED REQUIRED
Door & window schedule, room schedule, build-up, floor finishes — or other. One click on the form.
TASK DESCRIPTION REQUIRED
A few sentences: how large the full drawing set is, what the result will be used for, and when it is needed.

This page is not a document store. One sample drawing is enough to start — the full drawing set goes to the project folder, not to the public form.

05 HOW WE WORK

FROM THE DRAWING, STRUCTURE EMERGES.

Four steps on the same drawing. The sheet never leaves the picture — more and more is simply revealed about it. Demonstration building, three levels.

  1. 01 / DRAWING

    THE DRAWING

The starting point is a PDF floor plan: walls, openings, rooms, dimension lines. Exactly what you get from the designer.

  2. 02 / IDENTIFY

    IDENTIFY

We identify the drawing symbols element by element: which door type, which window, which room. Digital data extraction, with human verification — not automatic recognition in our place.

  3. 03 / STRUCTURE

    STRUCTURE

The identified elements assemble by type: schedule rows, a room list, surfaces. From here on it is a table, not a drawing.

  4. 04 / QUANTITY

    QUANTITIES

The table becomes counts and square metres — this is what goes on into pricing, ordering and construction.

05 THE FOUR OUTPUTS, FROM ONE DRAWING

WHERE DOES THE NUMBER COME FROM?

All four outputs come from the same drawing sheet. Hover over or focus a row — we highlight on the drawing what it is built on.

01DOOR & WINDOW SCHEDULE
Schedule of doors, windows, fittings and other itemised elements by type, with counts and identifiers.
02ROOM SCHEDULE
Room-by-room list with floor areas — for the largest room on the selected level.
03BUILD-UP SCHEDULE
Layer-by-layer listing of constructions. In this demo the model's real layer data is the structural thickness and the floor layer: . On a live project the build-ups are taken from the drawing's build-up references.
04FLOOR FINISHES
Area per finish type, broken down by room — a directly priceable quantity. On the selected level: .

06–07 WHAT YOU RECEIVE · EXAMPLE

PDF IN, EXCEL OUT.

Four schedules, four Excel worksheets. The samples below were produced from GoDataFusion's demonstration building — from the same drawing sheet you read on the drawing above. An anonymised sample of a real client project will go here as soon as publication is permitted.

01 · PDF DRAWING

The floor plan as it arrives from the designer. Walls, openings, rooms, dimension lines.

02 · DATA RECOGNITION / DIGITISATION

Every element gets an identifier, a type and dimensions. Checked by a specialist.

03 · STRUCTURED EXCEL

Row by row: ID, name, size, count. Ready for pricing.

How we handle your drawingsTRUST AND DATA HANDLING

  • Confidential project dataWe treat submitted documentation as confidential project data and use it only to prepare the quote and to carry out the commissioned work.
  • Human verificationEvery step of the digital processing is checked by a specialist. We do not claim the work is done entirely by an algorithm.
  • The original stays unchangedWe do not modify the client's original drawings — the result is produced in a separate, new Excel file.
  • Traceable resultsEvery row can be traced back to the drawing sheet: which symbol, which room, which level.

HOW LARGER PROJECTS RUN

Eight steps, always in the same order. In the first round we only ask for the sample drawing.

  1. Sample drawingOne representative PDF drawing sheet.
  2. ReviewScope, complexity, legibility.
  3. QuoteA tailored quote for the actual work.
  4. Accepting the quoteIn writing — this is when the project starts.
  5. Dedicated Drive project folderA closed folder for the project's participants.
  6. Uploading the full drawing setInto the folder, not the public form.
  7. ProcessingDigital data extraction, checked by people.
  8. Delivery of the ExcelStructured, traceable worksheets.

The public website is not a document store: the full drawing set always goes to the dedicated project folder.

THE SAME PROJECT. A DIFFERENT QUESTION.

The three services build on each other, but each can be ordered on its own.
